    Thechallenge

    Overselling was eroding trust: stock synced hourly from vendor feeds, checkout raced against reality, and refund tickets were the fastest-growing metric in the company.

    Theresponse

    An event-sourced inventory core with per-vendor adapters replaced batch syncs, cutting stock drift to near zero. Vendor tooling got the same design attention as the storefront — onboarding a new seller now takes an afternoon, not a sprint.
